A Love Letter to Readers, Authors, & The Art of Stories
I create cosy, handmade bookish goods for fiction lovers who want their reading life to feel as beautiful as the worlds inside their books.
Pho's Creations exists because books, reading, art and community are not just things I enjoy, they are fundamentally, deeply part of who I am. This business is a love letter to all of it: to the readers, to the authors, to the stories that change us, and to the beautiful, warm, generous community that has built itself around a shared love of the written word.
This page is where I try to put into words what Pho's Creations actually stands for. Not a list of buzzwords, not a mission statement written to sound impressive. Just the things I genuinely believe and the promises I intend to keep.
What I Stand For:
The Art is Always Mine
Everything you see at Pho's Creations — every design, every illustration, every piece of artwork — is created by me. That is the promise that will never change.
Right now, almost everything I sell is also physically made by me, and that handmade quality is something I'm deeply proud of. As the business grows, some products may be produced through print on demand or manufactured in small runs but the art behind them will always be mine. No AI-generated designs. No outsourced creativity. What you're buying is always a piece of something I made with my own hands and my own heart, even when it travels through different means to reach you.
Community is Everything
This business was born as an act of love for the bookish community and that is not a metaphor. I am a reader. I have always been a reader. The Bookstagram and BookTok communities, the authors who pour themselves into the stories we love, the fellow makers and creatives who share this space, these are my people, and Pho's Creations exists to be of service to them.
That means celebrating authors, supporting indie and Australian voices, and showing up for the community the way the community has always shown up for the things it loves. I make things worthy of the stories we can't stop talking about and I hope they find their way to the readers who need them.
All Are Welcome Here, No Exceptions
Pho's Creations is a space built on love, kindness, and the radical idea that everyone deserves to feel at home in the things they love. I am a queer, neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill woman and I am also so much more than any of those labels. I share that not to define myself, but because I want you to know: if you have ever felt like you didn't quite fit somewhere, you fit here. Haters are genuinely not welcome. But if you love books, if you love stories, if you believe in treating people with decency and care, then this place was made for you.
Feed Your Soul
There is something running underneath everything I do at Pho's Creations that is harder to name but just as important: a belief that your happiness matters. That making time for the things that fill you up — reading, creating, resting, building the life you actually want — is not a luxury or a reward for finishing everything else first. It is the point.
I built this business while working a physically demanding job, studying, managing chronic illness, and trying to take care of myself along the way. I know what it costs to keep going when your energy is limited. I also know what a good book, or a beautiful object, or five minutes of genuine rest can do for a person. Pho's Creations is built on that belief. Take care of yourself. Feed your soul. The books will help.
Always Learning, Always Creating
Creativity and learning are not things I do alongside this business, they are the business. I am constantly developing new skills, exploring new mediums, discovering new ways to make things that are more beautiful, more useful, or more meaningful to the people who receive them. Watercolour, digital illustration, surface pattern design, there is always something new being learned, something being attempted for the first time. That curiosity feeds the products, the content, and the community. A creative business that stops learning stops growing. I don't intend to stop.
What You See is What You Get - Genuinely
Books, reading, art, beauty, this community — these things are so deeply part of who I am that I couldn't be anything but genuine with you. And I wouldn't want to be. To be ingenuine with something so woven into the very fabric of what makes me, me, it would tear me apart piece by piece. So what you get with Pho's Creations is exactly what it looks like: a real person who really loves books and really made the thing you're holding. The imperfect bits, the behind-the-scenes, the learning curve, all of it, it's real. I truly hope that comes through in everything I make and everything I share. Pho's Creations is me. And I hope you feel that.
